GW 2: Secret of Southsun patch

A new patch to Guild Wars 2 has been announced with completely new content added to the game and this is already soon going to happen, on next Tuesday!

So on May the 14th of 2013 we can expect a new story in an previously introduced area. The tropical island of Southsun Cove will finally be used for questing, events and more.

The refugees from the previous storyline are being moved to Southsun Cove in shelter. Not all refugees agree to that though, which gives us things to do.

Here’s the little introduction storyline:
Trouble is brewing on the tropical island of Southsun Cove.

The merchants and traders of The Consortium have given shelter to refugees driven from their lands by the Molten Alliance, but many of these new arrivals feel more like prisoners than guests. With the new settlers on the verge of rioting and someone—or something—driving the local wildlife to new heights of aggression, it’s up to you and Lionguard Inspector Kiel to quell the violence and discover the Secret of Southsun!

As for the new features there will be a new event and storyline with Inspector Ellen Kiel of the Lionguard. Together you will try to restore order to the island as well as figuring what mysteries thrive the animals to attack.

The crabs on the island will also be of use for once, a new mini game will allow you to toss them around in the new game called ‘Crab Toss’.

For the World vs World players, ArenaNet is adding a new item with which you can set traps. These traps will perform certain actions such as anti-stealth and the removal of supply of a player. More traps will be added on coming patches.

I think this will be just a beginning on new content and patches for the coming time in a new and exciting continent.
